The Process Engineer/Manager will be responsible for effectively leading, coaching, directing and co-ordinating the business units and managing quality, safety, and environmental objectives.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer / Manager. The purpose of this role is to provide leadership to the on-site personnel for operations. This role is accountable for delivering excellence in the maintenance and operation of mining infrastructure, with a particular focus on process control systems, automation, and associated technologies. A deep understanding of process control principles and their application in mining operations is essential.

In this role, you will:

• Positively shape the culture in alignment with core industry values
• Motivate, engage, and coach the team towards achieving safety, inclusiveness, and productivity goals
• Plan for and establish Surface Mining maintenance work methods and processes, including alignment with proven work management processes
• Establish positive working relationships with operations and support functions.
• Ensure operational mining processes that enable the successful delivery of the operational plans.
• Lead the integration and optimisation of process control systems to improve operational efficiency and safety.

About You
You will have a proven record of successful front-line leadership of mining teams, with strong expertise in process control, systems and applications in heavy industry operations. The results you have achieved will demonstrate your ability to engage, lead change, and influence others. A background in engineering, specifically in process control, automation, electrical, or a related discipline, is required.

Your ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines will be unparalleled, as will your ability to adapt to change and remain calm under shifting circumstances. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are critical to this role, along with a strong desire to motivate and lead your team. Stakeholder engagement and strong collaboration with Production, Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance, and Process Control are essential to maximise performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree qualification in Engineering (Process Control, Electrical, Automation, or related field)
• Extensive experience in heavy industry, operations with a focus on leadership and maintenance.
• Proven leadership experience in a heavy industry environment
• Strong technical knowledge of control systems, automation, and operational technology
• Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
