About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Safety and Risk Officer (CSRO), the Senior Safety and Risk Consultant (SSRC) is a business partner and compliance adviser responsible for actively engaging and supporting operations leaders to 'deliver safely'. The role provides stakeholders with advice and support to ensure safe systems of work and strong compliance processes and demonstrates standards for workplace safety.

We currently have 1 permanent, full time available.

Whilst the position will be based at Perth High Performance Centre in Mount Claremont, mobility may be required between the portfolio of facilities.

About the Person

The successful candidate will have the following:

Technical expertise in Occupational Safety and Health and safety management systems with up to date knowledge of Western Australian WHS legislation.

Demonstrated experience in monitoring contractor safety compliance and facilitating practical safety solutions in a construction and/or maintenance ‘shut-down’ environment.

Understanding of strategic and operational objectives.

Ability to establish clear plans and timeframes for project implementations.

Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in building effective relationships.

The ability to coach and lead others while exemplifying personal integrity and self-awareness.

Employment Screening

Tertiary level (Minimum Diploma) qualification in Safety Management

WA Construction Industry White Card (Work Safely in the Construction Industry).

Lead Auditor Qualification

Please note that the appointee will bear the costs associated with the abovementioned eligibility requirements.
