Clerk Grade 5/6 with starting salary range of $97,027 - $107,059 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Inspector to join our team. The Senior Inspector will be responsible for undertaking a range of compliance-related activities, including inspections and investigations across assigned areas of responsibility. This crucial role contributes to the achievement of regulatory objectives, ensuring that compliance standards are met and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and record/report on covert and overt inspections, complaints investigations, reviews, audits, and case management.
Gather, analyse, and report intelligence data, contributing to the administration of disciplinary schemes.
Participate in the consideration of relevant applications and probity checks.
Prepare documentation and recommendations to support enforcement actions, including prosecutions.
Undertake timely, targeted, and risk-based inspections, including weekend and late-night deployments, to ensure compliance.
Provide accurate and timely information and guidance to stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
Contribute to the preparation of reports, briefings, correspondence, and submissions related to compliance activities.
Maintain accurate and timely records and systems to support the effective operation and reporting of activities.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of strategic, risk-based compliance programs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including co-regulators and industry partners, to optimise outcomes.
To be successful you will have:
Proven experience in managing compliance-related activities in complex and sensitive environments.
Strong ability to conduct investigations, audits, and inspections effectively.
Excellent analytical skills for gathering and reporting intelligence data.
Experience in collaborating with stakeholders to enhance compliance frameworks.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory environments and compliance standards.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and submissions.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
Adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.

Essential requirements
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
Appointment and ongoing assignment are subject to satisfactorily meeting and maintaining requirements to be appointed as an Inspector under relevant legislation.
Appointment and ongoing assignment are subject to satisfactorily meeting and maintaining preemployment and ongoing probity screening requirements and the integrity standards set out in relevant Legislation and/or related policies.
The person occupying the role will be designated as a key official under section 16 of the Gaming and Liquor Administration Act 2007 and may be subject to restrictions, such as restrictions on attending certain premises.
Willingness and availability to meet the shift-work requirements of the role.
A current Class C Driver Licence
