Well-established boutique practice with a client-facing role

My client is a well-developed boutique practice with a 30 + year history in the market. They provide a range of services to their clients across accounting, bookkeeping, financial planning, SMSF and tax advisory.

They are now seeking a Client Manager to oversee a portfolio and manage client relationships. In this role you will be managing approx. $700k in fees, with the support of 2 offshore resources and a long-standing Senior Accountant who has been with with business for over 10 years.

The output and production of work is well-managed between the offshore accountants and existing senior, so they are really looking for someone who can focus on managing client relationships and providing higher-level advice work.

This would be the ideal role for an experienced Accountant, looking for a step-up in an environment where they will be given plenty of autonomy.

Key duties of the role include:

Managing a diverse range of client groups and tax issues (including individuals, partnerships, trusts, SMSFs, companies, tax planning assignments, business/investment structuring advice)

Reviewing, training and mentoring junior staff

Managing communication with clients and nurturing relationships - someone who is able to predict clients’ reactions, potential problems, and understand what can be done to achieve high levels of client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess:

CA or CPA qualified

5 + years experience in public practice accounting

Familiarity with Xero and MYOB software

Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting & Tax standards

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
