Metal Cladding Systems, a Bayside Metal Industries company, has a rare vacancy in our customer support team. We are looking to appoint a technically minded estimating and administration guru with a passion for manufacturing, technical sales and superior service.

The successful candidate will be a multitasking rockstar who can effortlessly manage a busy incoming phone line, take ownership over incoming enquiries (assisting where possible and redirecting as appropriate) and champion new business, architectural enquiries and non-account and account holder project quoting.

Key responsibilities

First point of contact for incoming calls, reception, and showroom visitors

Managing incoming sales and technical queries (assisting where possible and redirecting as appropriate)

Raising estimates from technical shop drawings/production drawings

Raising invoices for account and non-account customers

Taking and responding to invoice queries, lead time requests and other general customer communication

Shadowing our Production Manager at times to understand the whole production lifecycle

Assisting business development and order processing teams with sourcing information for incomplete orders, forwarding enquiries and communicating important messages with stakeholders

Experience and attributes

Experience working within a manufacturing environment or other technical product industry

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

Minimum undergraduate degree qualified

Exceptional Microsoft Office skills

Sound written and verbal communication skills

A proven ability to multitask and prioritise

Positive and enthusiastic

Willing to learn about Bayside Metal Industries' products and manufacturing capabilities

Eagerness to take ownership of the role and its tasks

A desire to grow within a thriving business and learn all aspects of manufacturing and sales
