Our client, a major Australian airline is looking for a Technical Product Lead to join their technology team on an initial 12 month contract.

The role will see you take ownership of a portfolio of Technology and Applications within the clients engineering domain specifically within Safety & Compliance (Apps & technology used by 3000+ staff for maintenance, supply chain, doc management etc.).

As part of the role you will drive product roadmap, manage vendors, deal with procurement, manage budgets, manage a team, drive enhancements and bug fixes + loads more on an ad hoc basis. (This is a hands-on, proactive leadership position).

The ideal candidate will have worked on multiple technology products and applications and will have experience building teams and technology capabilities. The team operates under a Plan-Build-Run philosophy so a well rounded technical background will be advantageous. (60% BAU and 40% new project work).

Key skills, Experience and Background:

• Successful track record working as a Senior Product Owner in large complex enterprises
• Will be required to lead the planning, organisation, development of the platform.
• Preferably worked on multiple technology/digital products and applications (experience with building something from scratch and scaling it).
• Experience across conducting project discovery, securing business case, overseeing progress of one to multiple ongoing projects, ops management (BAU support and requests) and regulatory/compliance activities.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and thrive on problem solving.
• Works with the team to create the vision for the service and sets the day-to-day priorities to fulfil that vision and ensure the team delivers.
• Strong Stakeholder, Team management & Vendor management experience crucial.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills.
