We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Content Designer, to join the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Department of Treasury and Finance for a period of up to 12 months.
Remuneration: ASO7 - Salary Range ($108,109 - $116,864 p.a.).
About the opportunity:
The Senior Content Designer will support the design and development of products and services for the South Australian community. They produce high-quality, user focused content through understanding the web, technology and people. They work on the end-to-end journey of a service to help users complete their goal and government deliver a policy intent. The Content Designer works alongside research, design and development teams to make sure all content meets user needs. This includes the text, visuals and interactive content. They passionately advocate for plain English and user centred design. They collaborate with stakeholders, run usability tests on content, and optimise live content with a focus on continuous improvement.
About you
To be successful you will:
Design and deliver content that is clear, simple, and easily understood by the maximum number of people.
Collaborate with service design and user research colleagues and partners across-government, to provide citizens and business with simple, secure and seamless digital experiences when interacting with government.
Ensure content meets SA Government standards and maintain accessibility and quality through regular review.
Drive good practice and digital inclusion in government, through various activities, including the delivery of presentations, workshops and training, and managing practical demonstrations.
Work with the content community to develop a government style that is clear, approachable and consistent across multiple platforms, ensuring it meets WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards.
Advocate, advise and support agencies in relation to their approach to digital transformation.
Contribute authoritative advice to the Premier, Ministers, Chief Executive and other key stakeholders related to opportunities, issues and trends in human centred design and digital government.
