Davidson has partnered with a local council to find a dedicated Talent Acquisition Officer. This council is committed to creating value by driving economic diversity and generating an enriching lifestyle for its community.

About the Role
This is a 3-month contract covering a secondment, with a high chance of extension. The Talent Acquisition Officer will play a key role in delivering exceptional recruitment services and supporting the council's vision of growth and innovation. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including developing and executing recruitment strategies, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and performing reference checks.
• Onboarding new employees and ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation.
• Collaborating with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and providing expert advice on recruitment best practices.
• Preparing and delivering training sessions on recruitment practices to key staff.
• Recommending improvements to recruitment processes and administrative directives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support recruitment activities.

This is a completely in-office role with no work-from-home option. You will work closely with another Talent Acquisition Officer and a Recruitment Officer.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within Human Resources or Recruitment.
• Certificate IV or equivalent in Human Resources.
• High level of communication, time management, and organisational skills.
• Working knowledge of applicable legislation and industrial instruments.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Suite.
• Current "C" class driver's licence.
