About the role

MC Group QLD is seeking a talented Civil Construction Site Engineer to join our team in Far North Queensland. This is DIDO role. As a full-time Civil Construction Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our civil construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of exciting projects while contributing to the growth and development of our dynamic organisation.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the day-to-day site operations and coordinating with construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality

Conducting site inspections, monitoring construction progress, and addressing any issues or challenges that arise

Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors , stakeholders and clients.

Preparing and maintaining accurate site records, reports, documentation and take construction photos

Track and modify works program daily.

Develop and implement inspection and test plans.

Provide technical support and guidance to team members, ensuring effective communication of project goals and quality, environmental and safety protocols

Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks and enhance site efficiency

What we're looking for

Degree in Civil Engineering.

Minimum 3- 5 years of site engineering experience in the construction industry. Additional relevant certifications in construction project management are a plus

Additional relevant certifications in civil construction project management are a plus

Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing project requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams

Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and regulations.

Conduct safety briefings and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site

Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively

Some travel to different project sites may be required.
