We are currently seeking applications for a Workforce Support Officer - Payroll to join the Electoral Services team at the Department of Treasury & Finance for a period of 12 months.

Remuneration / Classification: ASO3 $67,589 - $72,033 per annum

About the Department:
The Department of Treasury and Finance is the lead agency for economic, digital and financial policy outcomes. We play a vital role in providing financial services to the community and economic and fiscal policy advice to the Government of South Australia.

Electorate Services provides a range of services to Members of Parliament in the areas of human resources, accommodation, security, procurement and financial management. Electorate Services also oversees the management of the Ministerial chauffeur service.

About the opportunity:
The Workforce Support Officer - Payroll will provide specific payroll related services to office employees of Members of the South Australian Parliament by:

Reporting on employee leave entitlements and updating employee personnel records.

Processing documentation, including high volumes of casual timesheets.

Undertaking data entry and reconciling timesheets and leave entitlements.

Supporting with contract preparation, including extensions and temporary employment contracts for staff employed to support Members of Parliament.

Liaising with key stakeholders regarding complex queries relating to the payment of wages, leave entitlements, service audits, termination payments, additional hours and higher duties.

About you:
You will have demonstrated experience in:

Providing payroll services, with a commitment to achieving high quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

Communicating effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and applying tact and discretion when dealing with diverse stakeholders of varying seniority.

Administrative and organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to exercise initiative to determine priorities

Working in a busy team environment, being adaptable to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively to meet key deadlines.

Managing politically sensitive issues while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.

Working collaboratively in a team environment with a shared responsibility for achieving results.

Experience in the use of computer based office systems, including databases and spreadsheets, and undertaking word processing.
