Hays have partnered exclusively with a leading provider of infrastructure construction and maintenance services, who are committed to delivering high-quality projects and services to clients while fostering a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement. Due to an internal restructure, they are now hiring a new Finance Business Partner based at their North Brisbane office, on a full-time and permanent basis.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business by monitoring and analysing business conditions and performance. Your insights and recommendations will drive data-based business decisions focused on intervention, improvement and growth. You will work closely with the senior management team to develop, execute and manage the financial aspects of the business's strategic plan.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide strategic decision-making support and advice as a trusted advisor
• Analyse business performance and environments, offering innovative recommendations
• Support key operational and strategic decisions with data-driven insights
• Lead and participate in business process integration for new operating assets
• Manage budget and forecast activities, ensuring timely completion
• Prepare and coordinate RPQ reporting and performance reviews
• Conduct financial and commercial modelling and scenario analysis
• Support mergers and acquisitions, business development, and supply projects
• Develop and maintain cooperative relationships within the department and organisation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in Business or Accounting
• Over 5 years of experience in a relevant role and commercial environment
• Proven success in relationship building and management with key stakeholders
• Strong background in financial analysis, interpretation and reporting
• Experience with financial software applications, including Power BI
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
