About the role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Barista & Front of House (FOH) staff member to join our dynamic team at the Southern Cross Campus Services' café in Lismore, NSW. This is a casual role. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating high-quality coffee beverages in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and other drinks to customers in a friendly and efficient manner

Operate and maintain coffee machines and other café equipment to ensure consistent beverage quality

Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring dishes are presented to a high standard

Provide excellent customer service, anticipating and meeting the needs of customers

Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including restocking and cleaning duties

Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues as required

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Barista in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment

Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and equipment, including the ability to use espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment

Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor

Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team, as well as independently

Good time management and multi-tasking skills to handle a busy café environment

Enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and a passion for delivering high-quality service
