Your Opportunity

As a Principal Project Officer, you will contribute to the Infrastructure Strategy and Innovation division (ISI) to improve the infrastructure system, ensuring Queensland communities continue to thrive. You will play a key role in implementing cross[1]government priority actions in the State Infrastructure Strategy, focusing on digital enablement, new and emerging construction technologies, and more.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-level strategic, policy, and service delivery advice to senior management, the Minister, and the Director-General.
  • Undertake research and analysis to understand and respond to complex policy and system issues at state, national, and global levels.
  • Prepare and contribute to well-researched written materials, including reports, policy papers, Cabinet submissions, briefing materials, and correspondence.
  • Lead, manage, and support assigned projects using established project management approaches.
  • Develop effective working relationships and represent the department at meetings and events.
  • Liaise and negotiate with other state agencies, government levels, external stakeholders, community groups, non-government organizations, and the private sector.
  • Engage actively in a team environment and contribute to a positive culture.
