We are an Australian based Kitchen joinery and loose furniture (FF&E) outfitting supply and installation company. With offices both onshore and offshore, with large manufacturing capabilities we are readying for growth over the coming years. Established in 2005/06, we a market leader in our targeted Accommodation sectors.
Key Points
We are seeking a talented Joinery Draftsperson to manage the shop drawing processes involved with our work flows, and to work with Project Team members, to ensure all products, once manufactured, are fit for purpose, and meet the requirements for each project undertaken.
Whilst not mandatory, applicants that can speak both Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English would be viewed favorably, and in order to better communicate with offshore team members.
This is a fulltime position that we are planning commence April 2025.

Role Summary:
The successful incumbent will be working with the Design and Estimating team, and supporting the Project Team members, with the successful delivery and supply of products on any projects undertaken. Works can include preparing and reviewing shop drawings, preparing project presentation summaries, entering and updating product components and attribute schedules (ie. colours and material finishes selections etc), attending project site meetings as requested, becoming familiar with our bespoke outfitting management system, preparing detailed documentation (including sourcing and entering product details, pricing product schedules), travel may be required from time to time, and providing general assistance as might be reasonably required in the office.
Key Personal Capabilities:
The incumbent will be an enthusiastic and collaborative team member, who is passionate about drafting, design, and achieving win/win/win outcomes., and able to interpret design concepts to shop drawings easily, and complete detailed supporting documentation.
Key Skills and Experience might include:
Whilst applicant might not be proficient in all the following area's, nonetheless, we are looking for a well rounded person to join our team and ready to be up and running in the position as quickly as possible.
- Relevant drafting qualifications with kitchen and accommodation joinery.
- Ability to read and understand construction related drawings.
- Ability to use industry related software applications (ie. Revit, Auto Cad, SketchUp, Rhino 3D etc).
- General Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Excel and Word (excel in particular).
- Time management.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong level of judgement.
- Speed, Accuracy and attention to details.
- Ability to make decisions.
- Understanding with Emotional Intelligence.
- Strong communication skills (bi-lingual in English and Chinese).
- Proactive attitude (resilience; adaptability, problem solving; positive attitude.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Key Position Responsibilities and Duties:
In this role the ideal candidate will be required to:
- Assist with preparation of tender submission documentation packages (including product schedules and project specifications).
- Prepare and amend shop drawings and design sketches through to approval, use of various design software used to create document templates, concept designs, 3D renders.
- Work closely with and be part of our estimation and design team (including our offshore team members), supply agents and manufacturers.
- Assist with translation as required.
- Learn and work on a bespoke project management system.
- Online Document control management.
- Assist with planning and design.
- Assist with preparation of design documentation for client presentations.
- Assist with preparation of product schedules and project tender documentation.
- Create renders to accompany presentations.
- Maintain Company, Contractor and Supplier Contacts.
- Undertake general office duties as required.

Position Reviews
