As an Architectural Draftsperson, you will be an integral member of our team, contributing to the preparation and delivery of high-quality documentation. You will work closely with engineers, designers, construction teams, and clients to produce detailed drawings and plans that adhere to our high standards and comply with local regulations. You will be required to design and customise granny flats for clients and also custom homes.

Your Daily Tasks will involve

Develop and finalize detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and site plans, aligning with design specifications.

Liaise with clients to ensure a smooth execution of each project.

Create and modify standard home designs based on customer requests, site-specific requirements, and other customization needs, while maintaining build-ability and cost efficiency.

Ensure compliance with local and national building codes, council regulations, and industry standards to maintain safety and compliance.

Work closely with external suppliers including but not limited to engineers, councils and certifiers, to ensure drawings reflect the project requirements and are feasible for construction.

Review site and survey data including analyzing site information, soil reports, and zoning data to address any constraints or adjustments needed in the design.

Revise and update drawings as per client requests, builder specifications or regulatory feedback and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

Prepare construction documentation, including specifications, schedules, and detailed notes for builders and contractors.

Ensure quality control by reviewing all completed drawings and documentation for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project objectives.

What we would like from you

Diploma in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field

Minimum 1 year of experience

Strong technical skills in design and drafting, with experience in Revit, CAD, and Enscape

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, and team members effectively

A passion for architecture is essential.
