As a Media Advisor, you will be an integral part of the Marketing and Communications team, with a focus on securing media coverage and shaping the company’s external narrative. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and proactive communicator with a proven track record in high-growth environments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and influencers within the fintech and business sectors.
  • Write and pitch compelling press releases, media content, blogs, and op-eds aligned with key business messaging.
  • Support the execution of PR campaigns, and manage media events, conferences, and speaking opportunities to boost brand visibility.
  • Monitor media coverage, track emerging trends, and provide actionable insights to refine media strategies and enhance brand recognition.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partner communications to ensure unified and consistent messaging.
  • Develop and pitch media stories to secure top-tier coverage and elevate thought leadership pieces.
  • Manage both proactive and reactive media interactions, maintaining consistent messaging during high-pressure situations.
  • Create and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure timely media outreach that aligns with business goals.
  • Regularly pitch media stories to achieve measurable media coverage tied to business objectives.

To be considered for the role, you must have the following:

  • Proven experience in media relations, public relations, or journalism, with a track record of securing media coverage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling press releases, media pitches, and storytelling content.
  • Ability to manage both proactive and reactive media interactions, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Experience with issues management, maintaining composure and clear messaging under pressure.
  • A fast-paced, adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use media coverage data to refine strategies.
  • Hands-on experience creating media content, including articles, blogs, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, working seamlessly with marketing, legal, and leadership teams.
  • Ambitious, driven, and eager to take initiative and grow within the field of media relations.
  • Knowledge of platform algorithms and best practices for optimizing content reach (desired).
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
