United Transport Equipment is a modern state of the art fabrication facility in Welshpool, with a young, vibrant and energetic team of Tradespeople, Apprentices and T/A's.

We manufacture Steel Trays and Aluminium Canopies for light vehicles as well as performing Cab Conversions and Chassis Extensions.

Using advanced robotic welding technology, we are able to produce large volumes in a short time period.

We also have our own Amada CNC Laser cutter and CNC Press Brake onsite, as well as a fully equipped paint shop with 2 x Lowbake Ovens.

Main Duties of the Role:

Learn to operate Amada CNC Laser cutting machine from plans provided

Learn to operate Amada CNC Press Brake from plans provided

General maintenance of both machines

Controlling sheet metal stocks and consumables

Maintain a safe and clean working environment

The successful candidate will possess the following;

Sheet Metal experience would be advantageuos, but not essential

Forklift Ticket Essential

Physically fit and hard working

Punctual

High level of attention to detail and quality control

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
