Wildgrain Mornington is on the hunt for dynamic, passionate, and experienced Chefs to support and work in our our busy 100 seat restaurant in Mornington.

What You’ll Be Doing:

· Leading by example: Lead and inspire our team with your hospitality and cooking skills, ensuring smooth daily operations in your section and fostering a positive work environment.

· Guest Service: Produce exceptional dishes for our diners, with the confidence to work well under time restraints and pressure . A genuine friendly and helpful nature is important to being effective in this role. A knowledge & love of food and its provenance is also highly regarded.

· Organisation & efficiency: Maintain a well organised section, keeping your efficiency and flow of work as a priority to ensure the best customer experience.

What We’re Looking For:

· A genuine passion for hospitality and food culture

· An ability to keep calm, organised, and upbeat during busy periods.

· A love for creating an efficient & friendly workplace for colleagues & guests.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate and work well within a small team.

· Cert IV qualified with a minimum of 2 years experience cooking in a restaurant or luxury hospitality environment.

· Extensive food and culinary knowledge with an emphasis on origin is preferred, but can be also be easily taught to the right candidate.

You’ll be working alongside a highly experienced kitchen team, who lead with passion and customer focus. Plus, you’ll gain a first-hand insight into our seed to plate philosophy that is unique to our restaurant. We have our own farm and utilise seasonal produce on our menu daily. Our full time kitchen staff typically work a 4 day week with 3 days off. The roster is flexible and can rotate. We also like our kitchen team to spend time at the farm where possible in the roster.

Wildgrain Mornington is open 5 days per week – Wednesday to Sunday, Every night. Lunches on Fri, Sat & Sun

The opportunity is for a full-time highly skilled chef, or if preferred, a casual or permanent part time role, with all the benefits/entitlements.

There is a minimum of 20 hours available across the 5 days if Casual or Part time is preferred. We are flexible to the hours on offer if we have the right candidate with all the attributes and skills above.
