We are looking for committed, hard working and enthusiastic chefs to join our team of chefs at Launchpad ELC, where you will be working towards advancing your position in a new purpose built centre. Restaurant experience is preferred as we run the kitchen in a professional manner and we deliver high quality, nutritionally balanced menus. You will help to maintain a high level of health and safety standards in our purpose built and well-resourced kitchen.

Along side the Kitchen Manager and existing team you will be required to complete preparation and clean-up of all meals, including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack.

Prepare cooked meals to meet all children’s needs including all special dietary requirements and allergies.

Ensure safe and hygienic preparation, handling and storage of food and drinks.

Follow and implement the Food Safety Program.

Be organised in your approach to your day and requirements and use common sense to problem solve.

Interact and engage with all children and staff in a positive manner at all times.

Support Educators and children to engage in cooking experiences as appropriate.

These are permanent part time roles, with flexible hours for a great work life balance. Early morning starts are a requirement, we are open all days, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Current Valid Working with Children Check is required and a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is preferred but not essential for the right person.
