About the role

TAFE Gippsland is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced, proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join the People and Culture team. In this role you will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services and the processing of fortnightly salaries to approximately 450 staff across 13 campuses. The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of TAFE Gippsland’s payroll system to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, relevant industrial instruments and Institute policies, procedures and guidelines. The Payroll Coordinator works closely and collaboratively with the People and Culture team to deliver a seamless and compliant payroll function. This partnership ensures the accurate processing of employee data, alignment with industrial awards and agreements, and a positive experience for all staff across the employee lifecycle.

During the induction and onboarding period there may be a requirement to work additional hours or adjust working days to accommodate training and ensure a smooth transition into the role. Ongoing flexibility throughout employment may also be required from time to time to provide backfill during leave and peak periods.
