Who We Are
WPC Group is a national leader in apprenticeship and traineeship employment, with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. As one of the country’s leading Group Training Organisations, we connect ambitious Australians with career-defining opportunities.
For over 40 years, we’ve partnered with companies of all sizes to deliver Mentored Apprenticeship Programs, providing innovative workforce solutions. With more than 200 employer partners nationally, we specialise in the attraction, mentoring, and retention of apprentices and trainees—helping to shape the future workforce.
We help young people build real careers, and it starts with opportunity. That's where you come in.
Position Overview
As an Apprentice & Trainee Manager, you'll support young people across Adelaide as they start their careers through apprenticeships and traineeships.
With the support of an experienced team, you’ll identify and connect with businesses across various industries that need apprentices and trainees. From medium to large companies, you’ll build strong relationships with key decision-makers to help them grow and strengthen their workforce.
We want you to work strategically, using internal data and marketing initiatives to attract top-quality employer partners.
You will split your time between visiting workplaces, checking in with apprentices, and connecting with businesses that want to provide workforce opportunities. It's balanced with time working alongside our team in the office, coordinating placements and making sure everything runs smoothly.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety – one day, you’ll be on-site with a host employer and the next, you’ll be mentoring a young person or coordinating placements from the office. It's practical, people-focused work where you’ll see the direct impact of your efforts.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting a caseload of apprentices and trainees, ensuring their success.
Partnering with local employers to create strong, sustainable placements.
Visiting worksites to ensure safe, productive environments.
Expanding WPC Group’s network of host businesses through community and industry connections and building our CRM database.
Representing our organisation at local events and industry gatherings to build brand awareness.
What you'll bring:
A natural relationship builder - confident in engaging with business owners and young people.
Highly organised and adaptable, able to switch between fieldwork and office coordination.
Engaged in the local business and community landscape.
Committed to quality, compliance, and delivering strong outcomes.
A full driver’s licence and the ability to meet employment screening requirements.
We're looking for someone to join us in a meaningful, community-focused role where you'll have plenty of independence and purpose.
You'll be set up for success with a comprehensive induction and training at our Head Office in Victoria. Plus, you'll get to work in our modern and welcoming Adelaide office, conveniently located on Hutt Street. If you're ready for a role where you can make an impact, we'd love to hear from you!
Salary is aligned with experience.
More than just a job, this is a chance to help shape lives and contribute to Adelaide’s skilled future. If that sounds like your kind of work, let's talk.
