About the opportunity
The Assistant Manager, Facilities helps oversee daily facility operations. They set standards for space allocation, handle technical challenges and lead maintenance projects. They also ensure effective asset operations.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- manage designated facility operations, ensuring daily tasks are carried out to maintain building services and infrastructure
- set operational standards for space allocation, ensuring maximum utility and efficient resource utilisation
- implement hands-on solutions for technical issues, ensuring the facility remains operational and meets user requirements
- direct on-ground teams in maintenance and project tasks, ensuring all operations align with set standards
- oversee the lifecycle of assets, from procurement to disposal, ensuring effective management and value
- engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating discussions to address concerns and gather feedback, ensuring alignment with work area goals
- lead the team with clarity and direction, ensuring consistent guidance that fosters achievement and pro-active problem solving.
About you

- experience in people management, including managing staff performance and development
- demonstrated experience in facilities management or building maintenance
- experience working capital works, infrastructure and development projects
- computer literacy
- delivering presentations effectively
- analytical and problem solving skills
- post-graduate qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
