About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide specialised Clinical Pharmacy services, professional leadership and operational management to the Specialist Pharmacy work unit and associated multidisciplinary team within The Prince Charles Hospital and other facilities throughout Metro North Hospital and Health Service and to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health in accordance with organisational goals

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide professional leadership, judgement and advice in the development and improvement of advanced clinical practices, quality improvement activities, medicines protocols, policies and procedures as part of the multidisciplinary team and lead the implementation of pharmacy-related change initiatives to achieve identified outcomes.
  • Provide authoritative counsel in matters relating to clinical pharmacy services, particularly medication safety and quality, to stakeholders both within and outside the discipline across the specialty work unit
  • Participate in and promote medication safety and continuity of care initiatives and contribute to research and/or quality projects that will achieve improvement in clinical services and patient care.
