3D Recruitment are seeking a Drafting Team Leader for our client who is a well-established, forward-thinking and diverse residential home builder - to lead and inspire their high-performing drafting team.

Specialising in array of residential projects types including large Townhouse Developments, this company is known for its modern designs, streamlined processes, and commitment to delivering quality homes across Victoria. With strong growth and a solid project pipeline, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader in residential drafting to step into a pivotal role.

The Role: As the Drafting Team Leader, you'll be responsible for overseeing a team of skilled drafters, ensuring high-quality documentation and efficient delivery across all drafting functions. You'll be the go-to for technical guidance, team development, and workflow management, while remaining hands-on with complex drafting work when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of 4 drafters based in H/O and a further 4 overseas
• Manage drafting output to ensure timely and accurate documentation
• Maintain drafting standards, templates, and procedures
• Collaborate with internal teams including design, estimating, and construction
• Oversee compliance with building codes, regulations, and developer guidelines
• Assist in onboarding and training of new drafting staff
• Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes and systems

What You’ll Ideally Bring:

• Proven experience in a senior drafting or drafting team leadership role within residential construction - Minimum 5Yrs Experience
• High-level proficiency with ArchiCAD is essential
• Solid knowledge of Victorian building codes, council regulations, and developer requirements
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• A proactive mindset with the ability to drive efficiency and quality
