Emergency Management Coordinator
Tenure: Full Time / Permanent
Location: Echuca
Salary Range: $119,746 to $134,049 plus superannuation
About the role:
We’re looking for an Emergency Management Coordinator to join our Operations Department to play a pivotal role in strengthening our community's resilience. As the Emergency Management Coordinator, you will lead the Emergency Management and Planning Unit, ensuring the coordination and execution of Council’s emergency management activities in line with the State Emergency Management Plan and the Emergency Management Act 2013. This role is key to improving preparedness and response strategies, building strong partnerships with local, State, and Federal agencies, and embedding emergency management into the heart of Council operations. You will have the opportunity to shape policies, develop training programs, secure funding for new initiatives, and oversee critical projects that make a real difference. To be successful for this role you will require:
- Degree or Diploma in Emergency Management or other related field, or lesser formal qualification with extensive and diverse experience.
- Demonstrated experience in emergency management.
- Valid National Police Check.
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
