D.N.K Services' is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Thomastown, Victoria. This is a full-time permanent opportunity to work on critical machinery and equipment within the food manufacturing industry. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing essential production assets to support our client's operations.

What you'll be doing

Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on a range of industrial machinery and equipment

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical faults, and implement effective repair solutions

Overhaul and rebuild components as required, gearboxes and vacuum pumps

Liaise with production teams to understand equipment requirements and minimise downtime

Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance

Comply with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent

Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within a food manufacturing or processing environment

Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with production teams

Commitment to working safely and a proactive approach to continuous improvement

Knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices and ability to document work activities
