About the Role:

• Routine preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on all mechanical plant and equipment
• Complying with the organisation's policies including - safe working practices, occupational health and safety
• Use various hand tools to fit and assemble parts, which require knowledge of principles of mechanics;
• Complete planned, unplanned and requested maintenance tasks effectively;
• Ensuring that hazards are identified, and risks are assessed and controlled. Acting immediately to stop any observed unsafe act or condition
• Communicate with stakeholders to resolve breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime; and
• Conduct proactive breakdown analysis and identify problem areas of the plant

What you can bring to this role:

• A Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Australian Trade Recognised)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting, welding and fabrication
• Understanding of PLC operation
• Proficient with conveying equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Available for shift work from Monday to Friday
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand schematic drawings, plans and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment
