Short Description
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Cost Analyst to join our Project Controls team, supporting multiple mining projects. This role will involve key responsibilities in cost and change management, ensuring accurate cost reporting, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About the Position
As a Cost Analyst in the Project Controls team, you will be responsible for providing cost and change management support across multiple projects. Your role will involve:
Managing project budgets, cost forecasting, and change control processes
Analysing project costs, providing guidance on final cost forecasts
Supporting the development and update of project cashflow forecasts
Reviewing progress payments and performing valuations
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
Key Responsibilities Include
Carry out daily implementation of cost and change management for regional programs.
Assist in budget establishment, contingency management, and cost risk management.
Analyse and report cost deviations from forecasts/plan.
Ensure compliance with project controls guidelines and procedures.
Support cost assessments and valuations for large projects.
Facilitate project review meetings and update cost management tools.
Collaborate with planners, schedulers, contracts, and estimating groups to ensure change implications are understood.
Maintain strong relationships with contracting and project planning stakeholders.
Skills and Experience Required
Engineering or Quantity Surveying (QS) qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in a cost role on large projects, preferably in mining
Experience working with PrismG2 and advanced Excel skills
Familiarity with SAP reporting systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships
Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
