The Organisation

These roles sit within the Data Hub of a large Civic based Department.

You will predominately working on Grants related data across a wide variety of programs

The Role

You’ll work across multiple grants programs, liaising with stakeholders to define data requirements, develop advanced reports, and deliver timely insights.

Key tasks include:

• Leading the design and development of Power BI dashboards and reports
• Managing ad hoc and scheduled reporting across diverse datasets
• Writing and maintaining SQL scripts for data extraction and transformation
• Maintaining and enhancing DAX, PowerQuery M, and data models within Power BI
• Supporting data quality, accuracy, and governance across reporting outputs
• Translating stakeholder needs into scalable and maintainable reporting products

The Ideal Person

These positions will suit an APS6 (or equivalent) Data Analyst with great skills in Power BI (DAX & M), Power Query & SQL. Bonus points (but not mandatory) if you have skills in Python and/or R. You likely have experience with basic statistical analysis and predictive modelling.

You will standout if you have the above technical skills and also have experience reporting on Grants Programs in the APS.

Due to the nature of the work Australian Citizenship and an existing Baseline clearance is mandatory.

Salary / Rate

These roles align to an APS6 level.

The rate for these roles has not been listed. However, the likely rate for the successful candidate will sit around $80/hr - $100/hr + 11.5% Super based on your skills and experience.
