Electel Construction Pty Ltd is based in Mudgee, NSW - Central West of NSW. We are a leading telecommunications infrastructure services provider in Australia for the past 10 years. We install & maintain communications infrastructure and provide a turnkey service to our clients. We are currently looking for experienced telecommunication riggers to join our team working on various projects statewide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision, installation, repair and maintenance of telecommunication equipment and associated infrastructure on communication towers. Other responsibilities include leading a team.

Your responsibilities:

• On-site team lead responsible for supervision, installation, repair and maintenance of telecommunication equipment and associated infrastructure on communication towers.
• Liaise direct with the client when required
• Reporting of daily activities
• Provide on the job training and mentorship to trainee riggers

The ideal applicant will have experience in the following areas:

• Install, maintain and repair telecommunication infrastructure, equipment, hardware and steel assemblies in accordance with the client specifications, standards and WHS guidelines
• Structural communications rigging experience, including tower builds
• Experience in Microwave link alignment essential
• Must be able to install, terminate and test coaxial feeder systems and have an understanding of how it works
• Promote and apply the company safety standards
• Work away from home when required
• This role would be suitable for an efficient and energetic person
• Computer literate & technology savvy
• Full manual drivers licence

Desirable but not essential:

• MR or HR truck licence
• Telecommunications civil construction experience
• Winch operation
• Twin rope certification

Qualifications required

• Rigging High Risk Work Licence
• Work safely At heights certification
• Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) over 11m
• Tower Rescue Certificate
• Current/Valid NSW Drivers License
• Construction White card
• Minimum 2 years + industry experience
• Australian citizens and permanent residents only
