Contract Opportunity: Data Governance Lead – 6 Months

My client is looking for a Data Governance Lead to take the lead in rolling out a business-critical Data Governance framework. We’re seeking someone for a 6-month engagement to help implement and embed a new data operating model across a complex enterprise.

You’ll play a pivotal role in operationalising a new enterprise-wide data operating model. You’ll engage directly with Data Domain teams, build governance capability across the business, and ensure critical data assets are brought under governance.

You won't be designing the framework — that’s already in place. Your focus is execution, enablement, and delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the rollout of a new Data Operating Model across multiple data domains
• Running working sessions with business units to upskill, align, and deliver measurable outcomes
• Bringing critical data under governance and driving single source of truth initiatives
• Partnering with business teams to ensure process adherence and support implementation
• Engaging and motivating data stewards to drive accountability and delivery
• Establishing and embedding data quality controls

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience delivering data-related outcomes (not just managing teams)
• Comfortable working hands-on and independently across complex stakeholder environments
• Experience in data management, digital, analytics, or tech/IT workflows
• Ability to context-switch and manage 5–6 concurrent stakeholder groups
• Consulting background highly regarded (but not essential)
• Track record of delivering measurable outcomes in 3–6 month project cycles
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills – firm, clear, and able to drive change
