SS&A Albury is a premium entertainment venue in the heart of the Albury CBD, and we are currently undergoing an exciting transformation to enhance the experience for our members and guests. As part of this new chapter, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Functions Supervisor.
In this key role, you will be assisting the Functions Manager to deliver exceptional service across our functions, events, and catering services. You’ll help to ensure smooth operation of all function setups, services, and pack downs, while also supporting the Food & Beverage department when functions are not scheduled.
Working alongside our Functions Manager, you will have exposure to a wide range of functions and future opportunities in an expanding department. This role will offer growth potential for someone looking to develop their skills and further their career in functions/hospitality.
Key Responsibilities / Role Requirements:
Assist the functions manager with the day to day running of the functions department.
Assist with training and guiding the function team to ensure high service standards and effective teamwork.
Oversee setups, service, and pack downs of functions and events, ensuring smooth operations.
Assist with function bookings, inquiries, and venue tours, providing excellent customer service to clients.
Provide extra support to the functions department when manager is on leave.
Monitor staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage for functions and adjusting to event changes.
Support the Food and Beverage department during non-function periods.
Promote internal club activities, events, and marketing efforts to enhance member engagement.
Address and resolve any customer service issues or complaints during functions.
Complete daily reporting and handle administrative tasks related to function operations.
Availability for a rotating roster, including days, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Maintain a professional demeanour with exceptional presentation and grooming standards
Bring enthusiasm and passion to customer service
Exhibit reliability and a positive attitude
Qualifications / Requirements
Certificate III - Events or IV in Hospitality (or similar qualification) (desirable).
Previous experience in a supervisory role in functions, events, or hospitality.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) NSW only
