🍔 Job Opportunity: Chef/Cook – Flame Brothers Restaurant & Bar (Halls Gap, VIC)

We’re on the lookout for an experienced chef or cook to join our team at Flame Brothers Restaurant & Bar in the stunning Grampians region of Halls Gap.

🔥 About the Role:

Position: Full-time (5 days per week)

Roster: Flexible – we operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Cuisine: American BBQ – we smoke our meats on a 34” diameter offset smoker

Start Date: Immediate start available

Location: Halls Gap, Regional VIC

✅ What We're Looking For:

Passionate and creative individual with a strong understanding of food trends

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Experience in smoking meats is a bonus, but not essential

Must have the right to work in Australia

Ideally seeking a long-term position

💵 Remuneration:

Negotiable, based on your experience and skill level

Senior roles available for highly qualified candidates

🍽️ Key Responsibilities:

Set up kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment

Prepare and cook dishes in a timely and consistent manner

Ensure high-quality plate presentation

Inform front-of-house staff of daily specials

Supervise and support junior kitchen staff

Modify recipes to meet dietary requirements (e.g. low salt, dairy-free)

Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies

Check food freshness and handle proper storage/disposal

Contribute to new recipe development and ideas

Maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen
