Product Development deploys leading edge practices to drive the organisation’s projects, navigating them through our innovation model. The team works across the strategy, design, build, implement and operate phases to deliver new products and services that delight our customers.
About the Role
The Project Manager will contribute to the organisation’s objectives by leading the innovation and product projects to ensure that innovation projects and organisation tasks are effectively prioritised, planned and delivered. Essential requirements of this position are leadership, planning, collaboration, written and oral communication skills and the flexibility to undertake a range of activities based on the changing needs of our small but growing organisation.
The Project Manager will advise project teams involved in the delivery of innovation projects on the innovation model systems, processes, practices and tools to achieve results in line with the GGSA vision. This particular role may occasionally work with GGSA partners and other stakeholders
Essential criteria
- Project management and/or business qualifications;
- Experience of the Queensland (or other states and territories) education sector; policies, structure, framework.
- Managed an education program;
- Successful delivery of project outcomes in a complex environment including the use of project management methodology and risk management;
- Managed a project team of 5 or more full time employees who had other teams reporting to them;
- Ability to think strategically through complex issues taking into account the bigger picture and longer-term outcomes;
- Demonstrated experience in influencing the work and direction of a high-functioning project team/work group;
- Proven ability to develop strong networks with diverse key partners with demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to sell difficult/contentious concepts;
- Evidence of a successfully completed Police Check.
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of a current valid manual drivers licence;
- Willingness to travel away from base location to regional and remote areas of Australia;
- Possess a Blue Card (or if successful provide evidence of obtaining/applying prior to commencement);
- Registration with a recognised national project management affiliation;
- Understanding of the political and legal framework in which the organisation operates;
