Position: Payroll Officer
Location: Melbourne's Inner City Suburbs

Reports to: Payroll Manager
About the Role:
Our client, a fast-growing healthcare organization located in Melbourne's inner city suburbs, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to manage payroll for their expanding workforce. This role will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain compliance with legislation, and handle payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process fortnightly, and monthly payroll for staff.
- Maintain accurate payroll records (leave balances, tax deductions, superannuation).
- Strong understanding of long service leave
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation (Fair Work, Modern Awards, etc.).
- Respond to payroll inquiries and provide support for audits.
- Assist in process improvements and provide reports as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Previous payroll experience, ideally in healthcare or the public sector.
- Strong experience with Excel (Pivot tables & VLOOKUPS)
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and payroll softwares
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or equivalent (desirable).
