A great opportunity for an experienced Communications Specialist to join an International Automotive Company in Melbourne's inner suburbs.
The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in supporting both internal and external communications initiatives, as well as managing media relations for the brand. This dynamic role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive communication plans, fostering positive relationships with various stakeholders, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications
• Develop and implement internal communication strategies to engage and inform employees.
• Create content for internal communications channels, including newsletters, intranet, and company-wide announcements, all-employee forums, leadership messages, etc.
External Communications
• Lead the development and execution of external communication plans to enhance the organization's public image.
• Create compelling content for press releases, website updates, and social media platforms.
• Support the planning and execution of key launch activities across the business.
• Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and vendors to maximize communication reach.
Media Relations
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and key media outlets including identifying new and unique media targets to build a relationship with.
• Draft press releases, media pitches, and other materials to secure positive media coverage.
• Identify storytelling opportunities across the business to improve media and consumer perception.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in communications, with a focus on both internal and external communication.
• Proven experience in media relations, crisis communication, and content creation.
• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
