About the role

This is a full-time position (flexible hours with 4 day week option) as an Estimator/ Assistant Manager - at MILNER'S SMASH REPAIRS located in Kippa-Ring, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate estimates for vehicle collision repairs and managing the day-to-day operations of the repair shop.

What you'll be doing

Liaising with customers, insurance providers to ensure efficient and transparent repair processes

Managing the workflow and productivity of the repair team, including delegating tasks and monitoring progress

Providing excellent customer service to clients and work providers.

Accurately quote vehicles in a timely manner and in accordance with average repair cost targets and insurer/company procedures.

Processing vehicles onsite by carrying out vehicle arrival inspections, including mapping and imaging.

Manage parts for repairs to ensure timely arrival and cost effectiveness as required.

Manage suppliers to ensure additional work is recorded and authorised in a timely manner.

Ensure vehicles are repaired to their pre-accident condition.

Hand over completed repairs to customers.

What we're looking for

Significant experience (2+ years) in the automotive collision repair industry, as an Estimator and preferably in a similar management role

Excellent understanding of vehicle construction, repair methods, and industry standards

Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant tools - iBodyshop (essential), Estimage, Audanet etc.

Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a small team

Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
