At NCWH our General Practitioners provide specialised health care to women in the areas of sexual, reproductive and menopausal health. We pride ourselves on a supportive and welcoming team environment with extensive training available to ensure you succeed in your role.

The role is casual, 12-16 hrs per week with holiday and sick leave cover. We are a registered Charity and offer Salary packaging to increase your take home pay.

Key responsibilities

Greeting patients and providing reception and admin support to patients, doctors, practice manager and nurses

Scheduling and managing appointments, ensuring patient and practice confidentiality at all times

Maintaining patient records with precision and attention to detail

Handle incoming calls with excellent telephone etiquette and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Accurate patient billing and payments; Medicare and DVA and daily banking

Scanning, filing and efaxing documents

Reception inbox management

Essential skills/experience

Demonstrated experience in a Medical Receptionist position

Ability to work without supervision and independently, whilst also collaborating effectively with the team when needed

Medical Software experience/knowledge

Medicare billing

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated and able to problem solve, show initiative and think on your feet with positive attitude

Ability to stay calm, prioritise work and juggling responsibilities with ease and efficiency

Ability to maintain both patient and practice confidentiality

Great interpersonal skills

Flexibility in working hours and reliability

CPR certification

Experience in Health Engine, Best Practice, Medical Objects

Knowledge of medical terminology related to women's health
