Join a Federal Government Agency dedicated to safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of the elderly community in Australia. With 10 offices across the country, they are currently seeking an APS5 Property Officer for their Brisbane based office. In the role, you will be the state-based coordinator for property service providers, overseeing all property and facility requirements.

Duties include:

• Manage maintenance requests logged with service provider to ensure completion
• Provide technical knowledge in property and facilities management
• Security pass management
• Office management and maintenance
• Fleet management
• Deliver in-house property services such as mail, meeting room setups and logistical services
• Manage subcontractors and outsourced service provider contracts
• Provide input to strategic direction for operational delivery of facilities services
• Undertake procurement processes inline with commonwealth procurement rules

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a Property or Facilities Management role, ideally within the public sector or commercial sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively as part of a growing and diverse team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Australian citizenship is mandatory.

This will be an initial contract opportunity with upcoming permanent recruitment to be undertaken, based full time from their Brisbane CBD office location.
