THE OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our growing organisation for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Human Resources professional with a strong passion for people and organisational development.

In this role, you will apply your people-focused approach to ensure the consistent implementation and maintenance of best-practice Human Resources standards across all levels of the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Manager People & Culture and collaborating closely with the broader Leadership Team, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with relevant HR policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. This position also holds responsibility for overseeing and executing the full range of Human Resources functions, contributing to operational efficiency, service excellence, and the development of a high-performing organisational culture.

Key responsibilities of this role:

Foster and sustain a positive workplace culture that recognises, values, and supports employees across all levels of the organisation.

Encourage an inclusive and welcoming workplace that values and respects diversity.

Offer guidance and support to ensure the adoption of contemporary, effective Human Resources practices across all areas of the business.

Oversee and facilitate employee development, training, mentoring, and coaching initiatives to foster growth and enhance performance.

Lead and manage Human Resources functions, including employee engagement, reward and recognition, attraction and retention, onboarding and offboarding, among others, ensuring they are effective and aligned with strong corporate governance principles.

Implement and sustain performance management and disciplinary processes that are aligned with contemporary practices and fully compliant with Australian employment legislation.

Manage and coordinate the Return-to-Work function for Warrina Vales, ensuring a seamless and supportive process for affected employees.

Contribute to employee communications, ensuring a positive, respectful, and transparent approach.

Conduct HR analysis and audits, and compile reports as needed to inform decision-making.

Lead and implement organisational change in collaboration with employees and key stakeholders.

Stay informed of legislative changes and proactively discuss potential impacts with managers.

For this appointment, Warrina Homes is seeking a seasoned Human Resources professional with a strong people-centric approach. We encourage candidates with the following experience and skill set to apply:

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field.

Demonstrated experience in Human Resources Management and related functions.

Strong ability to maintain confidentiality across all aspects of the role.

Proven aptitude for building rapport and fostering respectful interactions with employees and stakeholders.

Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively as part of a team to achieve shared objectives.

Advanced computer literacy and proficiency with relevant software applications.

Exceptional communication, reporting, writing, and auditing skills.

Strong attention to detail with a passion for systems and driving continuous improvement.

A passion for the delivery of high-quality care and services to elderly individuals.

Strong understanding of the challenges faced by Aged Care residents, their families and employees.

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

A trustworthy and dependable individual with empathy for the Christian values and philosophy of Warrina Homes.

Experience in the Aged Care industry is highly advantageous.

Valid Australian working rights.

Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations including booster, are highly recommended.

Current Aged Care specific Police Clearance (or willing to obtain).

Willingness to undergo medical assessment.
