About the role:

We are currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated and experienced Information Technology Support Technician to join our team. This role will be based at an Opencut Mine located in Central Queensland on a 4-days on / 3-days off roster, with on-call and overtime options and the ability to travel (Drive In, Drive Out) from outside the area.

Familiarity with the QLD mining industry would be an advantage and your commitment to safety and quality will be paramount. The successful applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination including a drug and alcohol screen.

As an IT Support Technician, you will be required to provide technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, software and network. The successful applicant will have an ability to be self-managed, resourceful and persistent, as well as the determination and a logical approach to ensure servicing is conducted in an efficient and safe manner.

Duties:

Provide technical assistance and support for computer systems, devices, hardware, software, and network.

Accurately and efficiently log all issues and status updates in an internal tracking system

Responding to inbound Technical service requests over the phone and email

Interact closely with various departments and vendors to provide timely resolution on issues

Skills and Experience:

Required:

A current Queensland driver's licence and the ability to travel as required.

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Experience with Information Technology and Communications, networks and equipment

Minimum 12 months exposure in a similar role

Proficient in Windows operating systems and software

Preference Given:

Relevant qualifications in IT

Industry experience
