About the role
Working in a team environment, your day-to-day tasks will be diverse and range from community and visitor experience focus to hands on environmental works. This may include maintenance of built infrastructure and visitor facilities, cleaning and maintenance at campsites, walking tracks and road maintenance, visitor engagement, recovery from damage caused by the 24/25 bushfires.
About the Team
We are a large and dynamic team, with a passion for the protection and celebration of the Gariwerd Landscape. We have a people first approach, where we aim to foster a strong culture of leadership, collaboration and delivery across a diverse range of programs and activities.
We've had a very busy and challenging summer with bushfires impacting more than 60% of the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park. Looking for multiple people to fill several Ranger roles across the team, with opportunities to support the delivery of a wide range of park management and recovery focused activities.
We're looking for people with:
- A passion for the environment and experience in land management
- Experience working in remote locations and/or bush crew experience
- Experience working with community and stakeholders
- Demonstrated customer service and communication with strong interpersonal skills
- Practical skills in maintenance and construction of park assets and operation of machinery, equipment and tools
