Randstad has partnered with a state government agency to recruit two dedicated individuals for the role of Ranger (Field Services), based in Echuca.

These roles offer an exciting opportunity to work on Country, contributing to the care and management of land, culture, and community in the Northern Region. As designated Aboriginal positions under Section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic), these roles form part of an ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful employment pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.


About the role:

As a Ranger (Field Services), you will play a hands-on role in the care and management of parks and reserves. Your work will include maintaining the natural environment, looking after infrastructure and assets, and supporting cultural heritage initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver on-ground land and park management activities, including environmental maintenance and asset upkeep.

Support the integration of cultural knowledge and practices into daily operations and land management strategies.

Promote a culturally safe and respectful workplace and help build understanding of Aboriginal connection to Country.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety protocols and the correct use of tools and equipment.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and community stakeholders to achieve shared goals.


About you:

Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (this is a designated position).

Passion for land care, cultural heritage, and community connection.

Strong teamwork skills and a proactive approach to learning.

Comfortable with hands-on, practical work in outdoor environments.

Committed to safety and environmental sustainability.

Experience in land management, conservation, or similar work is welcomed but not essential - training will be provided.

  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
