Legacy is a not-for-profit organisation. Our aged care facility is dedicated to providing outstanding care to members of our community. We are a 49-bed facility, making us one of the smaller facilities in our area, which allows us to ensure personal and genuine, quality care. We also provide low-cost housing across our community.

Position Information -

We currently have an opportunity available for a Maintenance person to join our wonderful team.
You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean and homelike environment for residents and maintaining our low-cost housing in the local area.

This position will be on a Permanent basis, 5 days per week (negotiable).

Key responsibilities will include -

Perform a variety of repairs/maintenance work including –

* Painting

* Basic plumbing/electrical/carpentry

* Servicing of Nursing equipment

* Room refurbishment

* External cleaning

* Rubbish removal

* Gardening

Communicate with external contractors/trades to organise quotes and coordinate repairs

Respond to urgent maintenance matters and ensure timely resolutions

Perform routine building maintenance tasks in a timely manner

Maintain accurate records of work completed, budgets, and supplier details

Manage and coordinate maintenance requests and repairs across all properties

What we require –

A trade background is preferred

Intermediate computer skills desired

Capability to perform physical tasks

Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role preferred

Display empathy, sensitivity, discretion, and kindness

Demonstrated ability to operate professionally in a team environment

Excellent communication skills with staff, residents, families, tenants & volunteers

Attention to detail

Current Police Check or willing to undertake Police Check

Current NSW driver’s license

Evidence of right to work in Australia
