We are looking for an experienced Dynamics Power Platform Tester to join a QLD Govt project for an initial period of six months. You will be working on a project that drives change within their client’s mission critical business solution which manages health assessments for all coal mine workers across Queensland. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality business outcomes are maintained within the solution through the lifecycle of the project. This will include developing test strategies and plans, executing test plans, documenting test outcomes, coordinating the necessary resources to support testing activities and other responsibilities as necessary. Based in the Brisbane CBD, this role is a Hybrid position with flexibility available to work from home.

Responsibilities will include:

Collaborate with the Project Team to plan and execute end-to-end testing for Power Platform applications.

Support release planning activities by creating and maintaining test cases, estimating testing effort, and contributing to risk assessments.

Execute manual and automated test cases across Power Platform components such as Dataverse, Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), and Power Automate.

Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to develop traceability to test cases.

Ensure test coverage across all functional and non-functional requirements

Design and automate test cases using Power Platform Test Studio, Playwright, and other automation tools

Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for Power Platform components, supporting CI/CD integration and test reusability.

Track, prioritize, and manage tickets and tasks using Azure DevOps Boards, maintaining clear documentation of defects identified during test execution.

Update and report progress, test results, and defect status to stakeholders

Experience

Min of 4 years as a technical and business tester, with experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

Relevant experience working on the Microsoft Power Platform, including Dataverse, Power Apps, and Power Automate. This would be highly beneficial to the role however if you have solid Dynamics 365 experience this will be considered.

Experience with Power Platform Test Studio, Playwright, and automation tools suitable for Power Platform components.

Solid experience with Azure DevOps, specifically DevOps Boards for tracking tasks and managing test cases, as well as DevOps pipelines for CI/CD processes.

Proficient in automation frameworks and tools for Power Platform, including Power Platform Test Studio, Playwright, Selenium, EasyRepro, and Postman.

Skilled in test management tools like Azure DevOps for tracking test cases, executing test plans, and managing defects.

Strong knowledge of data modelling, entity relationships, and business logic validation within Dataverse.

Familiarity with integration and API testing, especially with Power Platform connectors, RESTful APIs,
