This well-established and successful AUSTRALIAN co. in a “niche market” provides equipment, training and support to veterinary practices Australia and New Zealand-wide. This full-time PERMANENT role will suit someone who ideally has a bit of history in assembling electro-mechanical equipment, is good with their hands, and enjoys a smaller company. You may be a hobbyist in “building things” without a formal background, and this is also considered.

You will need a positive attitude and interest in learning about, for example:

Dental Scaler Units

Dental Machine Control Tops

Dental Machine Handpieces (turbine replacements)

Oil-free Compressor Units

Sub-assembling components

In all cases, equipment is clean, small-scale and involves electrical, mechanical and electronic parts. It is NOT repetitive work - quite the opposite. There is a good variety of medical devices to learn, and this role CAN LEAD TO SERVICE/TROUBLESHOOTING if you are interested.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will receive on-going training and development to enable you to come up to speed. This is a steady rather that pressurised position in a supportive team, and there are prospects for the job-seeker who sees him/herself expanding their role down the track, in service or logistics areas.

You need to be computer-literate for input and search in the ODOO system (training provided) but will NOT be required to answer phones, write emails, etc.

Not worked in production/assembly before, but are interested? As long as you have natural hands-on skills that you can demonstrate, such as experience in fixing cycles, cars, printers…..or other mechanical devices, and meet the other criteria, you may be considered.
