About the Company
Our client is an iconic government-owned organisation that provides safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry. They are a one-of-a-kind organisation in Australia, managing over four million aircraft movements each year and providing air navigation services across 11% of the world's airspace. Their role in aviation is unparalleled, making this an incredibly exciting opportunity for a Return to Work (RTW) Specialist to join during a critical time of transformation.
This is not just another RTW role-it's an opportunity to make a lasting impact on Australia's air traffic control workforce! You will develop and lead the RTW function, drive cultural change, and see measurable results in absenteeism rates, workforce planning, and the organisation's bottom line.

This is a highly influential role, where your expertise will shape the success of the RTW function across the organisation. With no pre-existing structure, you'll have the opportunity to create policies and procedures, establish reporting systems, and drive positive change. Your success will be measured by data-driven outcomes-improving workforce planning, reducing unplanned leave, and ultimately driving revenue improvements for the organisation.

- Stakeholder Influence: Work closely with internal leaders and external health practitioners to influence decisions and ensure best practices.
- Data-Driven Results: Develop and execute robust reporting mechanisms to measure outcomes and demonstrate the success of your initiatives.
- Measurable Impact: See the direct results of your work in reduced absenteeism, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced revenue.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in RTW and injury management within large, complex organisations such as mining, oil & gas, defence, healthcare, construction, or manufacturing.
- A leader with the ability to establish a function, drive change, and make a measurable impact on workforce outcomes.
- Deep understanding of industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, and workplace legislation, with the ability to adapt quickly to new agreements within the air traffic control workforce.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
- Strong focus on data-driven results, with a track record of using analytics to drive improvement and achieve business objectives.
Why Join Us:
- Lead a brand-new RTW function in an organisation that is one of a kind in Australia.
- Make a direct impact on the workforce, operational efficiency, and revenue from day one.
- A role that offers strength professional growth, with the chance to build something impactful and see measurable, tangible results. As you establish the RTW function, there may be opportunities to build and lead a team in the future.
- Enjoy the flexibility of work-from-home (WFH) benefits and on-site parking at Sydney Airport.
- 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with opportunity for extension or permanent)
- Generous salary of $170,000 Total Fixed Remuneration
