About the role

We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to ensure plant and equipment are maintained in a safe, responsible and timely manner with the expectation of high standards.

The successful candidate will work as part of an efficient and effective maintenance support team who provide competent quality maintenance and mechanical fitting services at our Chlor-Alkali plant in Lytton and support maintenance and inspection activities on other QLD and NSW sites when required.

What you'll be doing

Perform JSEAs, risk assessment and Take 5s for achieving safe work

Diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical equipment and machinery

Perform preventive maintenance,inspections and condition monitoring and modifications to ensure high reliability

Troubleshoot and identify root causes , and implement effective solutions

Ensure work is performed in accordance with work orders, project or management of change documentation, drawings, specification, and procedures

Ensure all documentation and historical records are completed

Collaborate with the wider team in developing and implementing new PMs and procedures.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has:

Certificate III Engineering Mechanical trade

knowledge working with pumps, valves, piping and heat exchangers

Holder of current Class C drivers’ licence issued in Queensland

Ideally has minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance within process, manufacturing or mining industry.

Holder of High-Risk Work Licence (HRW) issued in Queensland (Desirable)
