The role

The Cyber Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that Gippsland Water’s cybersecurity GRC processes are robust and aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role will support and strengthen the organisation's cybersecurity posture by developing and enforcing policies, conducting risk assessments, assist managing third-party security risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The role also includes incident response, vulnerability management, and coordination of a corrective actions register including those related to internal and external audits. The Cyber GRC Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing insights to the Business Transformation leadership team and driving continuous improvement of GRC processes to mitigate cybersecurity risks and enhance organisational resilience.

What you’ll bring

A minimum of 3 years experience in Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance

Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, policy development and vendor risk management

Proven experience in vulnerability management

Ability to conduct internal and external audits

Strong analytical skills to solve complex technical problems

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and experience working effectively in cross-functional teams
