Reporting to the Financial Controller this broadly scoped role is primarily responsible for the smooth day-to-day financial administration of the business and will include preparing all month end financial accounting and periodic management accounts, maintaining the integrity of the GL, analysing project cost variances and standard costing, supporting the annual budget cycle and ensuring that the business meets its periodic Indirect Taxation compliance obligations. As a senior member of the finance team you will also be expected to use your technical subject matter expertise to drive improvements in financial processes and systems and support a culture which looks for opportunities to add value.

This role is likely to appeal to a broadly experienced senior accountant (CA/CPA qualified) who is now seeking to apply their financial reporting and management accounting skills in a busy, growing and entrepreneurial private enterprise. Technically astute, with a strong understanding of financial accounting, management accounting and taxation principles, you might possess similar experience gained in either an SME or a larger corporate environment and are now looking for a role offering some flexibility and variety. Experience in the manufacturing or engineering sector is desirable, but not essential. In either case, you will be looking for a hands-on role which offers you ample scope to make a broad contribution to the financial administration of a growing business.
